Linda Patalive

Fiber artist Linda Patalive began batiking on cotton. Later her interest moved to silk because of the rich, vibrant colors. She uses many techniques including batik, shibori, silk screening, stamping, discharging and silk painting. A combination of these methods produces a layered look and one of a kind pieces. Linda has studies with nationally known fiber artists including Susan Moyer and Yoshiko Wada. She is a member of Surface Design Association and Silk Painters International.

Linda also makes miniature decoupaged boxes which she lines with velvet. She has been making them for more than 35 years. They are a favorite of collectors.

In addition to Pluff Mudd Gallery, Linda's work is exhibited at the Beaufort Art Association.
