“If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” Vincent Van Gogh

Born and raised in Minnesota, Bonnie grew up in a family that appreciated the arts and nature. As a graduate of University of Minnesota with a BS in Interior Design and Communication, her career in contract interior design took her to Herman Miller, a design-orientated contract furniture company in Boston and later as the Marketing and Design VP for Architex, a contract textile company in Chicago. She always appreciated the landscapes and architecture while living in New England and Chicago.

Bonnie moved to Hilton Head Island full-time in 2018. She has studied with award-winning artists from Chicago and now on the Island. Enamored with the textures and light of the low country landscapes, her inner voice has been pulled to capture the moods on her paper. Watercolor is her preferred medium. She continues to learn and explore through workshops and art colleagues.

Find her work at the Art League of Hilton Head Island, Artists of Sea Pines, as well as at Pluff Mudd Art Gallery.
