Gini Steele

Gini Steele pairs traditional knitting and crochet with modern construction techniques to create designs with a contemporary edge. Following a tradition among the women in her family of working in textile arts, Gini learned the art of knitting and crochet from her mother and grandmother, who were deep sources of inspiration. She also pursues nuno felting and weaving and enjoys exploring and experimenting with color and texture. Sourcing many of her fibers from spinners and hand dyers throughout the southeast, Gini creates one-of-a-kind, original accessories which have been exhibited in juried art shows as well as galleries.
